In 1999, seeing the needs of those who were homeless in Harford County, a group of concerned folks in the community convinced their churches to form a rotating emergency shelter.  The shelter moved weekly among the churches during the winter months in order to provide food and a safe, warm place to sleep.  In 2005 the Welcome One Fellowship Center was opened in Edgewood and in 2006 the Welcome One Emergency Shelter was opened in the Riverside Business Park.  As a result of these efforts many have been helped to find their way to a more stable and successful life.
